Terms of Service

Effective: April 7, 2026

1. Acceptance

By accessing Elight Events you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, do not use the Platform. Elight Events is operated by Elight Events Technologies Private Limited, Bengaluru, India.

2. What Elight Events Does

Elight Events is a two-sided marketplace connecting customers with independent event service vendors (photographers, caterers, decorators, venues). We are an intermediary — not a party to the service contract between you and a vendor.

3. Accounts

You must be 18+, provide accurate information, and keep credentials confidential. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Vendor KYC

Vendors must complete government-ID verification before listings go live. Vendors are independent contractors, not Elight Events employees, and are responsible for their own licenses and permits.

5. Payments & Commission

All payments go through Razorpay (licensed PA). Elight Events charges 12% platform commission. A 2%+₹3 payment gateway fee is passed through to the customer. TCS at 1% is collected under Section 194-O IT Act; GST at 18% applies to the platform commission.

See our Refund Policy for the full schedule. The Razorpay gateway fee (2%+₹3) is non-refundable in all cases.

7. Prohibited Use

Do not: take transactions off-platform to avoid fees; post fake reviews; use the platform unlawfully; scrape data; or attempt to access other users' accounts. Violations result in immediate termination.

8. Dispute Resolution

Submit disputes first through our in-platform dispute tool. Our Grievance Officer (grievance@elight.events) acknowledges complaints within 48 hours and resolves within 30 days per Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.

9. Liability

Elight Events' maximum liability is limited to the commission collected on the booking in question. We are not liable for vendor service quality, safety, or legality.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Indian law. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means acceptance. Registered users will be emailed about material changes.
